UPDATE: The moment we've all (OK, some of us have) been waiting for: Alexander Wang's flagship will finally open its chic black doors on Thursday, Feb. 17. According to WWD, the soon-to-be downtown doyenne mecca is exactly how I would have envisioned Wang to design a space (see rendering above). Aside from being stocked with the designer's clothing, the store contains a leather couch, leather rug, hammock made out of fox fur (PETA beware!), and a slightly S&M black metal cage. Not sure what the cage's purpose is yet, but haven't you had a moment where you just wanted to lock yourself in with all of your favorite AWang pieces? Thursday can't come soon enough!

For a couple of months now, the 103 Grand St. location (formerly the Yohji Yamamoto flagship) has been shrouded in mystery. I know I'm not the only one antsy to see Alexander Wang's first brick-and-mortar store unveiling. On the movement front, the windows have been upgraded from canvassed paper bags to pitch black draping and a lone white Wang logo. But the doors are still locked. Rumor has it that the premiere flagship will open by the end of this year, but this curious mind wants to know— will we be able to shop Wang's trademark downtown cool clothing and accessories for the holidays?
