Have you ever seen anything more beautiful than a calendar month defined daily by a chocolate flavor? If there's one thing that can cheer me up right now, it's the prospect of gearing up for The City Bakery's (3 W. 18th St., 212-366-1414) annual hot chocolate festival in February. With days themed "beer hot chocolate," "Super Bowl hot chocolate," "what would Faulkner drink? hot chocolate," and "happy hot chocolate," is there even the slightest doubt that you'll be making a cocoa trip at least once in the coming weeks? Of course, no hot chocolate festival thrown in February would be complete without a Valentine's Day love potion hot chocolate. What do you think Maury Rubin, The City Bakery's hot chocolate maker, puts in that one? I'm thinking the sheer volume of richness will cast a spell on anyone lucky enough to drink it. Since going is a no-brainer, the real question is what days you'll be there. Tweet me your hot cocoa drinks!
