Didn't get enough of Alexander McQueen's splendor last month? Me either. Thankfully, fashion icon Daphne Guinness has essentially handed over her coveted wardrobe, chock-full of McQueen creations, to be put on display in the Museum at FIT (227 W. 27th St., 212-217-4558). The stylish exhibit opened last week with a Kim Crawford Wines-sponsored bash, and to fete the premiere, Guinness's equally fashionable pals Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Zac Posen, Christian Siriano, and Stefano Tonchi were all hands on deck.
The exhibit, which features more than 100 pieces from Guinness's personal couture collection, will be on display through Jan. 12. What designers aside from McQueen will you catch sight of? Think Chanel, Nina Ricci, Christian Lacroix, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Valentino, Gareth Pugh, Tom Ford, and Rick Owens. Got all that? It's worth a visit to see such a fabulously curated wardrobe up close and personal, but there's nothing like a little Friday fashion voyeurism.
