I admit, I'm a bit of a Frank Prisinzano loyalist, and this isn't the first time I've professed my restaurant-related adoration. But trust me, I'm doing you a huge foodie favor by urging you — most politely — to beeline straight for Sauce (78 Rivington St., 212-420-7700), his latest take on Italian home-style cookin'. The Lower East Side restaurant is spacious and warm, smells like grandma's kitchen (that is, if your grandma happens to prepare meaty pastas all day long), and meets high ragu expectations. I love the quirky attention to detail. Whether it be the rustic silverware chandeliers, resident butcher shop meat case, East Village Radio-selected tunes blaring, or the school chalkboards displaying handwritten house specialties, the familiar Frank charm and delicious fare is sure to win you over, too. Take a look inside Sauce and see what dishes should be on your must-order list!

Post a CommentFrank Prisinzano's Sauce is excellent! I recently tried those fried zucchini match sticks, and they were superb! Everything is just delicious!
