We included Summer Streets in our "20 free things to do this Summer" guide, but now the first of three clear-out-the-streets days is finally on the horizon. This Saturday, it's going to be a car-free, honk-free zone in certain parts of Manhattan, and I don't know about you, but I'm psyched. In addition to making good use of your own bike, skates, or stroller, there's an awesome laundry list of activities peppered throughout the Summer Streets route. To name a few, you can hit up a Chipotle guacamole-making station in Midtown; build a sand castle in Foley Square; enjoy a free yoga class, rock climbing, and other sports courtesy of the REI Adventure Zone on Spring Street; or get involved in a serious Summer Streets cook-off.
