SummerStage 2011 Official Schedule Will Leak on Twitter on April 1
Tweet, Tweet: 2011 SummerStage Line-Up Will Leak on Twitter Starting April 1

One of the great things about Summer — apart from ice cream trucks, fewer layers, and ultimate frisbee — is SummerStage, easy. In the past few years, I've seen the XX, Vampire Weekend, QTip, and Santogold perform on the main stage in the open air, and best of all, it was free. That's the beauty of the city's annual SummerStage takeover: you get an amazing line-up of artists and performers for the warmer weather months, headlining at your favorite parks, and for nary a penny. And here's how the 26th annual SummerStage schedule announcement will work. Starting Friday, April 1, the good people of SummerStage will tweet one new performance every day for 20 days. By the end, the full Summer season will be public, and you'll be privy to 300-plus artists taking part in more than 100 performances throughout the five boroughs. That's a lot of outdoor culture at your fingertips, and I, for one, can't wait to find out who's participating this year. Any ideas or guesses as to who will be the big headliners? I'm all ears!
