The highly anticipated holiday store is officially open today, and if you can only think of one reason to head to Midtown's busiest tourist trap hub, this is it. By the grace of the geek gods, we got to hobnob with some of New York's brightest tech stars and, um, Sir Ben Kingsley — knights love forward-thinking inventions, too — at yesterday's opening-night shindig and do a fair amount of "what's in store" reconnaissance.

Tucked away on SoHo's cobblestoned Crosby Street, the spacious quasi-gothic-meets-grandfather's brandy library designed atelier and apothecary stocks a rare lineup of brands from all around the world, artfully displayed for all to see, play with, and, more importantly, fall in love with. While it can prove difficult to stave off acute beauty product sensory overload, Murawczyk is making it that much easier for us to beeline straight for the coolest items in store.
